Chef Gargone has extensive experience as a show guest, performing for many events,
his talents are varied, Chef, Artist, Sculptor and a published author. John is very personable and people friendly he
is currently seeking television spots to showcase his new book titled " Food Art; Garnishing Made Easy", Teaching exciting
methods for decorating all common food products, these techniques are as easily understood as they are innovative. Food Art
was created for the average home cook and the most experienced Chef. These methods are cost and time effective and are actually
faster to prepare than the common platter presentations we have all come to know.
John is currently available for seminars and entertaining culinary demonstrations, with
amazing knife handling techniques see a melon carved into a swan in 5 minutes or an easy way to fan melon slices, arrange a deli art platter or Masterpiece in cheese platter or even garnish a salad. His Creations in Ice speed carving demonstrations are very well received; it’s amazing to watch as a 300lb block of ice is transformed into
a realistic sculpture in just 30 minutes.
John also does an amazing knife handling demo blindfolded!

About John
Since 1975 John Gargone has strived to learn all he could in the culinary field.
Beginning at Fred Waring,s Shawnee Inn, located in the Pocono Mountains Pa. John was mentored by 2 outstanding Swiss and German C.E.C. Chefs. After learning all he could, John began to seek out other quality Chefs throughout the U.S.A.
Since then John has been employed in Atlantic City and Las Vegas Hotels, New
Orleans and Lake Michigan’s Private Clubs, and Resorts, Scottsdale
Arizona, Carmel Valley,
La Quinta, and Palm Springs in California
in specialty restaurants, Country Clubs and Hotels, where he orchestrated or was involved in many grand openings and extravaganzas. The positions John has
held include: Executive Chef, Exhibition Chef, Chef Garde Manger, Ice Carver, Resident Chef/Artist, Banquet Chef, Meat
Cutter, Saucier and line cook.
John has always enjoyed teaching and sharing
his knowledge with other food service personal and they in turn would share their culinary secrets with him.

Hand built porcelains sculptures
Created various birds of flight, wildlife and fantasy sculptures without
the use of any molding techniques. All are one of kind originals and Kiln fired and hand glazed to include specialized raku art.
1992 to 2000
Creations in Ice
Created method to produce 2 carvings per block, record speed sculpting 18 in 8
hours. This method also guaranteed
a 4hr. to 8hr. life in 90 degree heat. Created
method to transport in van 12 carvings for 4 hours with no refridgeration and no refer-no meltage-no breakage}
Created an easy method to construct drain pans.
